Buffing Hints | Buff Speed & Pressure

Buff speed and buff pressure must work together to produce a quality finish as well as provide safety to an operator. Proper pressure must be applied to the work piece to produce friction that allows the buffing compound to buff the work piece.

Inadequate pressure gives NO buffing action.

Excess pressure will cause the buff speed to be reduced and/or the buff to collapse and the operation to be LESS EFFICIENT!

TOO MUCH PRESSURE

May Result In :

  • V-Belt slip
  • Buff will slip on arbor shaft
  • Buff will collapse
  • Possible Fires & Burning
TOO MUCH PRESSURE

THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF PRESSURE
